Mexican proved to be in a good shape and continued in a good results from Tuesday. They beat Venezuela 4:2 and have a very good position in Group C.

The Mexicans who have been performing very well so far, gained the lead in 3th minute, goal was scored by Robert Ordonez. Two minutes later Venezuelan equalized the socre when Andres Delgado deflected a pass by Bustamante into the net.

Then Guadarrama kept Mexican chances high, he neutralized Romero and Singer and then Tam Mexico regained a lead again. Julian Ramirez was at the end of a nice combining play and beat Martinez. Just before the end of the first half Brian Baxter added another goal for Mexico.

The Mexicans did not used an one-men advantage at the start of the 2nd half and then Venezuela did almost came within a goal. However, Guadarrama made a spectacular save against Fernandez.

All the chances of Venezuelan team were diminished when Contreras got the 5 minutes penalty. Mexico did not score during this 5 minutes span, and on the other hand, shortly later, venezuela used their own power play for scoring. Juan Singer took a shot which cut the score to 2-3. "It was a very hard game, because Mexico plays very fast hockey. It is very complicated against them, but we did all we could," said Juan Singer of Venezuela. Mexicans then answered with a goal by Jose Martinez. "It was not easy, our opponent was good in defense. Tomorrow we play against Argentina and it is a very important game for us," said Joel Cardoso of Mexico.

Gerardo Polanco (coach of Team Mexico): It is all about concentration. We played well today and I am satisfied with our performance. Tomorrow we play an important game against Argentina. We have to play well again and try to win.

Alejandro Valentiner (coach of Team Venezuela): It was a very good game from our side. We scored two goals and had many more scoring chances. I think we had as much opportuinities like Mexicans but unfortunately, we could not use them well.
